Adjustment

Adaptation is the key to survival. As a biologist, I should know this by heart, because the fittest and the strongest ones would withstand the forces of Nature trying to wipe them out from the face of the Earth.

Adjustment is like adaptation. You either fit in or you conk out. Adjustment can be akin to trying to move on after a devastating crisis. It may be positive or negative.

Sometimes, people adjust negatively. They tend to shut themselves in. They tend to let their hearts harden and eventually turn them in to a bitter shadow of their former selves. And then, with that, their world slowly shatters...

Why do we adjust negatively? Because we have fear. Fear is something we should be thankful of. Without fear, we can never become stronger. Fear is good but we should not let it consume us; instead we should face it and overcome it. We should become fear itself...

...or maybe, we should adjust positively. There are endless possibilities in every single thing in this world. They usually are triggered at the right moment when we least expect it. Things do happen for a reason. Maybe, if we all took one step at a time and see things in a different light... things will become better. Also, as the cliche saying goes, Time heals everything.

Adjusting is hard. We all hate change, because change is the only permanent thing in this world. Change can be an unforseen delay in Medical School, an opportunity lost because of things one fought for, a lost love, a lost friendship or even things as simple as being left behind and feeling alone.

But change is good. Change is, more often than not, for the better. In a fast paced world today, a second differs significantly greater from the last or the next. One minute you feel great, the next, you suddenly feel alone.

But that's the point - you adapt. you adjust. The rate of change today grows exponentially. And it is yourself that you pull down, when you decide never to adapt or to just adjust negatively. Never let yourself be caught in the web. You are stronger than that.

Adjust well, and you will see how bright things actually are. Adjust well, and you will see things differently, for there is always a silver tint on the clouds of doubt.

2013

Goodbye 2012 and Welcome 2013!

It has been a great 2012. Yes, obviously there were ups and downs, as normally would happen in life. But hey, never forget to count your blessings ALWAYS. Life itself is already a huge blessing!

Some highlights of my year 2012:

  • Graduation! Bio 2012, you homies would forever be part of my life.
  • PLM-CM! That day when I learned I wasn't a first lister.. Yeah, it sucked real bad. I was down for quite some time. But it was a good lesson for me; sometimes you fall but you gotta stand up. You can't always go on being up there, you gotta experience some failures to learn to live life to the fullest.
    • Like Dr. Wayne told Bruce: "Why do we fall? So we can learn to PICK OURSELVES UP"
  •  PLM-CM! Again, when I got accepted! Thank the Lord for his wonderful blessings. And because I was accepted to PLM, I met..
  • PLM-CM 1D 2016. Yeap, my section. New classmates, but quickly we evolved into a family. Glad to have met these people as well. Forever grateful to them for truly we all got each others' backs. Without them, Medicine Life would have been kind of boring
    • And of course, could I ever forget the alamat boys? Yeap, we're that awesome. And the DotA boys of course!
    • Obviously, special mention din dapat ang mga magagadang girls ng 1D. Oh yeah!
  • NALCA Trading as I see it had a great year, thanks to the hard work and efforts of my parents. Inspiration, indeed, for me to persevere in Medicine (Cheesy I know but what the heck, that's the truth yo)
  • My brods and sisses (MARSF/MUSSS). Never regretted my decision. Glad to be part of this awesome family as well. Another big reason why Med Life ain't boring or difficult or hell
    • Special mention goes to my Batchmates! Love you Ladies. Yeah, I'm a sole thorn among a group of roses, but never felt pushed aside. Glad to be part of their 2012 as well :)
  • Rest in Peace, Lola Lucy, you'll always be remembered :)
  • Football! I finally got to play Football after quite a while. Glad to be part of PLM-CM's Men's Football team. We got a match this Jan. 12-13, so prepping up through workouts.. :))

I guess that's about it. Actually I probably have more to add, but obviously I'm kind of high at the moment, had lots to drink with my Dad. Oh yeah, that's one thing to add pala, its really cool to drink with your dad. True story!

Anyway, here's to an awesome 2013 for everyone! Stay safe and enjoy! Positive outlook for the future, yo!

So where were we...?

Wow, I haven't posted for quite a while. So where were we?

- Thank you Lord. PLM. :) already enrolled.. will just wait for orientation, fix some stuff and will be READY TO ROLL!

- Started reading some my books.. good to have a headstart, can't fail or let this opportunity go to waste

- Quit Ragnarok Online

- Started playing Pokemon Black; now still stuck at the League, haven't played again.

- The CJ Corona Trial is now coming to an end..

Oh, the CJ Corona trial. Here is my statement on this one, I know many wouldn't agree with me, but hey, that's just my opinion. But I love a nice debate/commentary so here y'all go:

"Me, I think he is innocent. The only fault i can find in him is the fact on his foreign dollar deposits not being declared and that he walked out last Tuesday. But his failure to declared that FDs truly an impeachable offense?

THERE IS NO STRONG POINT that he was ever a corrupt guy. The prosecution failed to pinpoint that but you gotta admit they hit home hard on the point of the CJ's SALN. But the CJ managed to explain it naman, with feelings hehe."

Let me just add that yes, there are times I cringed when he was doing the dramatics, but then I can't blame someone who has been under stress and going through alot to be that emotional. Come on, cut the CJ some slack on the dramatics, we all went through tough times in our lives, didn't we?

Hoping for the best for the Chief Justice! And after this Impeachment Trial, LET US HOPE that the branches of the government would NOW RESOLVE TO WORK TOGETHER for the sake of our fellow countrymen.

Well, judgment day is on Tuesday. May God bless the Philippines.

Waiting.

Let me just wait for the right time to do things. They say, though, the right time to everything and anything is NOW.

But then, sometimes, I think it is right to just wait. Patience, they also say, is a virtue.

What lies ahead?

No one knows what lies ahead, so it is best that we all stay prepared, always.

Of course, sometimes we can anticipate or even hope for the best, but the truth is, we will never really know what lies ahead.

Faith can be a great help because the stronger your faith, the more positive your outlook to the future becomes, or so they say.

Reality Bites.

Yeah. After graduation on April 20, my batchmates and I will all be officially "unemployed" as we are no longer students, at least until June, that is.

It's true. Though a friend of mine was right in mentioning that Employment is a choice, not a chance. Truest stuff I've read so far in the past few days unlike the numbers game presented by the prosecution team of CJ Corona's trial.

Just some random thoughts.

Of False Warps and Fair Gaming

So tonight was another War of Emperium, 2nd Edition for our server, pRO Valhalla.

Guess what? The guild I was in tonight experienced false warping at its finest. Some of my guildmates were trapped in maps without move tiles (or whatever you call them haha!), so it, sad to say, effectively destroyed our siege plans because we became disoriented and disorganized, trying to move from one save point to another while storming a castle.

That acolyte with an attitude even taunted us that we were losers, and he even told off one of our Suras that his Guillotine Fist skill was "weak". That got me thinking that this guy's main character most probably belonged to the three guilds we were battling tonight, because he knew the damage of our Sura's skill and he taunted the Sura, calling him weak.

If you were to ask me, this asshole deserved my fist in his face. Personally, I suspect that he belonged to one of the guilds we were battling tonight because of his taunts. I can't fucking believe that these guys can be so desperate that they resort to dirty tactics just to win.

IMO, these assess got no gaming talent and no sportsmanship. Yeah I know, its just a game, but that's the point: IT'S JUST A GAME. Do you have to resort to below the belt tactics? Can't you all just enjoy the whole WoE? I enjoyed it, honestly, even if we didn't get a castle tonight, because for crying out loud IT'S JUST A GAME. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. That's life, bros. Think about it.

pRO surprise this week! (the first!)

Check it out on Facebook: Philippine Ragnarok Online Official Page

Damn, another week of spending roks for Tokens, Insurance, and ESBs! Bossnia is an awesome way to level up with your friends in pRO (Valhalla is my server btw).

There is a trick in the dungeon where you just have to locate Ifrit in his spawn area. Once you kill Ifrit, another one will spawn in that area immediately, so its kind of an unlimited way of gaining experience points, especially for those characters that have had their job levels left behind their character base levels!

Here's the catch though: You can't be resurrected inside Bossnia, so you have to depend on your tokens of ziegfried (thus you gotta spend lots of roks for lots of these @_@)

That exciting feeling...

You all know the feeling.

The butterflies in your stomach, the machine gun heartbeat pounding inside your chest, the shivers, all that adrenaline, every single day while waiting for something to come or to be announced. Yeah, that exciting feeling.

Waiting for PLM to release its list of Med Students for 2012-2013 is killing me. How long do we still have to wait?

Pulis: Ang numero unong Traffic Violator

Saw this image from ABS-CBN News Anchor Julius Babao's (@juLiusbabao) instagram while checking out my Twitter feed..

Wow. What can I say? This is ironic. I guess this is why we do not trust our Police Force too much. The PNP should really clean up its ranks, enforce the law PROPERLY and instill DISCIPLINE.

That's what we ALL LACK. Discipline. For crying out loud..

Google+ Profile URL: So many numbers!

Ok, so I was customizing my Google+ earlier today, and I noticed that my profile url consisted of a LONG STRING OF NUMBERS!

Well, it wasn't really that long, but still, you all get my point. Its annoying (well, for me) and its better if it is customized (like Facebook's).

Searching on Google (kinda ironic, I know), I found this site, but I haven't tried it out yet.. the URL's http://gplus.to/. Anyone tried it out? Do comment here please.

Thanks. /no1!

A New Beginning

This is a new blogsite for me. Just to kill time, and talk about stuff.
